JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a party and event rental company that delivers and installs large inflatable play structures such as water slides, bounce houses, obstacle courses and event rental items such as tables, chairs and fun food machines to locations within Volusia County.  We primarily work outdoors and on the weekends when parties are happening.

POSITIONS WE NEED TO FILL:

-Delivery Crew (Installer – Driver) Must have a clean driving record, current and valid driver’s license and background check.  Must be able to drive one of our company pick up truck or cargo van with a 16′ open trailer attached (no CDL or special license required). Be outgoing, friendly, punctual, able to follow directions, a good communicator, physically able to carry and maneuver heavy loads that range from 20-400 LBS.  We are not delivering packages like Amazon FedEx or UPS.  These are inflatables, concessions, carnival games, tables and chairs.   Saturday and Sunday are mandatory work days.

-Delivery Crew (Installer-Helper) – Assist the driver in setting up and taking down rental items.  Same work standards apply as the driver position.  The only difference is you will not be driving.  Saturday and Sunday are mandatory work days.

-Inflatable Detailer (Cleaner) – Come in a few days a week to dry, clean and disinfect equipment that was rented.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

All positions are part time however, you have the ability to work 25+ hours Friday, Saturday & Sunday by picking up morning and evening shifts.

-Must be able to work long hours on the weekends and certain holidays (Closed Thanksgiving and Christmas).  We are primarily outdoors and it gets hot down here in the Florida sunshine.  Must be Ok with sweating (like… A LOT)

-Must be flexible with scheduling.  Hours can and typically do change based on last minute customer orders or weather cancellations

-Must have transportation to our location in the Samsula section of New Smyrna Beach.  We are 3 miles south of SR-44 off SR-415.   We do not hire remote positions.  Please note, you are responsible to show up at our location on time.   If this may be a problem, please do not apply.

-Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, highly motivated, able to follow directions & have a great attitude.  We are ONE team and it is imperative that we all get along.

Installers are responsible for the safe delivery and pick up at clients location.  Delivery includes setting up in a timely manner, properly anchoring without taking shortcuts, going over safety rules and collecting any payment due.  Picking up includes breaking down all equipment in a timely manner and making sure nothing is left behind.  Punctuality is a must as we are on a time schedule.  Our job is to provide the fun and being on time is the first step in providing that fun. Professional Comfortable Attire (Shorts – no holes and company provided t-shirt acceptable)

Cleaners are responsible for setting up equipment after each rental and thoroughly inspecting for any damage / repairs that may be needed, cleaning, disinfecting and properly rolling up equipment for the next rental.

A TYPICAL DAY OF A DELIVERY DRIVER INSTALLER OR HELPER

Arrive at the warehouse around 7:00am – 7:30am. We typically do not start before 7:00am however there are certain times a year where we must start earlier (school field days, etc).  Gather your contracts and load your powered hand cart.  Then you head out on your first delivery for the day.  Once you arrive at the customers location, you will discuss set up details and then get to work.  Each delivery takes 20-30 minutes and then you are sitting back in the air conditioned van heading to the next set up location.  Each truck does roughly 7-8 deliveries in the morning and the same for pick ups in the afternoon / evening. Afternoon pick ups usually start around 4:00pm and you get back to the warehouse between 9-10pm. The majority of your time is sitting in the van driving from one location to the next.
